Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s Master of Science in Project Management Program has earned accreditation from the Project Management Institute’s Global Accreditation Center, making it one of only 110 programs in the world to achieve such accreditation.

The Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC) is an independent academic accreditation body with policies, procedures and standards for project, program, portfolio management and related programs at the bachelor’s, post-graduate and doctoral degree levels.

The mission of the GAC is to advance excellence in education worldwide, and ensure that GAC accredited programs prepare students to meet the current and anticipated needs of businesses and government organizations for qualified professionals working in the field.

Following a lengthy application process, Harrisburg University learned this week that the GAC accredited the program.

“This is quite an accomplishment for Harrisburg University, which started two years ago on the journey to accreditation by the GAC,” said University President, Dr. Eric Darr. “I would like to thank Project Management Program Director Tom Sheives, and Professor Stephen Onu for their leadership through the very arduous process.”
