Harrisburg University of Science and Technology announces a significant milestone for our leadership. Dr. Eric Darr, President of Harrisburg University, has recently been added to the Board for the Technology Council of Central PA (TCCP), furthering Eric’s deep commitment to fostering collaboration between academia and industry. The role and mission of the TCCP aligns seamlessly with the vision of Harrisburg University, making him an ideal addition.

As a leader in science and technology education, President Darr has played a pivotal role in shaping Harrisburg University into a dynamic institution at the forefront of research and industry partnerships. His wealth of knowledge, experience, and innovative thinking will undoubtedly contribute to the TCCP’s mission of driving collaboration, innovation, and growth within the technology sector in Central Pennsylvania.

Harrisburg University was last represented on the board of directors for the TCCP with Paul Roos – Assistant Vice President of Workforce Development at Harrisburg University – at the helm as Board Chair. The TCCP spoke highly of Paul’s tenure, saying his leadership was rooted in “passion, integrity, and a genuine belief in the potential of Central PA’s tech scene,” adding that Paul was a “visionary who saw the potential in our tech scene, the cheerleader who ignited our collective passion, and the bridge builder who connected us with key players on a regional and national scale.”

Harrisburg University is excited to support Dr. Darr in this new role, recognizing the importance of strong connections between academia and industry for the continued advancement of technology in our region. Through his position on the TCCP’s Board of Directors, Eric will further strengthen the ties between our university and the broader tech community, fostering an environment of mutual growth and success.

“I’m thrilled to represent Harrisburg University and continue our partnership with the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania,” said President Darr. “This continued collaboration between Harrisburg University and the Technology Council reflects our shared commitment to driving positive change in Central Pennsylvania’s tech landscape.”

We eagerly anticipate the impact of Dr. Darr’s insights and strategic vision on the Board as we continue to shape a dynamic and thriving tech ecosystem in our community, together.
