Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, STEM-UP Network, the Ben Franklin Learning Center, and Dr. Bili Mattes invite you to RSVP today for an empowering online workshop called, “Conquer Your Doubts: Understanding and Managing Imposter Syndrome.”

Participants will embark on a transformative, 75-minute virtual workshop tailored for women in business, nonprofit organizations, and STEM fields. In a world where accomplishments often succumb to self-questioning, this session is crafted to equip participants with knowledge, tactics, and a support system to confront the pervasive challenge of Imposter Syndrome.

This interactive workshop will explore the subtleties of this phenomenon, its impact on professional women, and actionable steps to triumph over these feelings and confidently advance in one’s career or entrepreneurial ventures. Participants will:

  • Better understand Imposter Syndrome: Delve deeply into its definition, historical context, and patterns and insights to illuminate this widespread experience among professional women.
  • Engage in personal reflection and interactive segments: Guided activities will help pinpoint personal Imposter Syndrome patterns and teach participants how to share their experiences in a nurturing environment.
  • Learn strategies to overcome Imposter Syndrome: Participants will acquire practical tools through personalized examples and detailed strategies to challenge and overcome self-doubt.
  • Build a supportive network: The workshop will explore the importance of community and peer support, and help participants discover how to establish and leverage professional networks effectively.

A 2023 KPMG survey of 750 high-performing women revealed that 75 percent of female executives have experienced Imposter Syndrome in the workplace.

Feelings of isolation and diminution are especially common in STEM-focused and other historically male-dominated fields. It can be more difficult for women to take risks, raise concerns, and contribute to workplace culture and innovation when they are preoccupied with facing judgment, engaging in code-switching to make themselves less of a target, or keeping their ideas to themselves for fear of having them questioned or appropriated.

After attending “Understanding and Managing Imposter Syndrome,” participants will depart with a thorough understanding of what Imposter Syndrome is, how it feels, and how it impacts women in professional settings. They will also have practical strategies to take with them that can halt self-doubt in its tracks and get self-image, positivity, and productivity back on track.

Nobody should let self-doubt hold them back. Imposter Syndrome is common, but there are ways to fight back. Please register today to secure your spot in this free, empowering, and highly relevant online workshop.
