A recent agreement forged between Harrisburg University of Science and Technology and Montgomery College gives graduates of the Montgomery County, Maryland-based community college a clear path to a Computer and Information Sciences degree with a concentration in Cybersecurity from Harrisburg University.

The agreement provides students who graduate from Montgomery College with an A.A.S. degree in Cybersecurity the ability to transfer up to 60 credits to Harrisburg University. Acceptable credits can be used toward fulfilling the 120 credit hours students must complete prior to earning Bachelor of Science degrees from Harrisburg University.

“Harrisburg University is pleased to partner with Montgomery College to provide students a pathway to our CIS Cybersecurity program,” said University President Dr. Eric Darr. “This agreement ensures that Montgomery College Cybersecurity graduates have full access to an affordable, world-class computer and information sciences education.”

The agreement, effective immediately, will help prepare students for in-demand careers, said DeRionne Pollard, president of Montgomery College.

“Higher education is about preparing students for the workforce needs of today and tomorrow,” Pollard said.  “Cybersecurity is undeniably an urgent part of those needs. I am proud that MC is partnering with Harrisburg University to make cybersecurity education more accessible and affordable to students.”
