A video game several Harrisburg University students spent months developing with the university’s game developer in residence will be available for purchase on phones and tablets this winter.

The game, “Castle Dice,” is based on a popular board game of the same name. It is a game where players have been ordered by the king to build a castle along the borders of a kingdom. Players explore the land by rolling the dice, then take turns gathering resources from them. The resources are then used to hire workers and improve castles.

Justin Sabo, HU game developer in residence, worked on the project with HU students Dominic Walker, Adam Sulayman, and Conner Sweeney.

The game app will first be available on iPhone and iPads this December. It will subsequently be released on Android phones shortly after.
