Yuliya Goss Virtual Learning Environment Specialist

Yuliya Goss is part of the Virtual Learning Environments (VLE) team which is responsible for the administration and management of core learning technology solutions at HU and for ensuring that faculty have the tools and support necessary to deliver effective instruction in any format (Face-to-Face, Virtual, and Hybrid) for all programs and offerings.

Prior to joining the VLE team, Yuliya spent a few months in Dubai, UAE, where she and a small team of pioneers were working on establishing a Harrisburg University Dubai campus to welcome students and partners. Yuliya also considers herself privileged to have served as an instructor to our undergraduate students. As an educator, she believes in a reciprocal relationship between the instructor and learners and strives to build a strong learning community rooted in trust.

Yuliya’s academic career has so far culminated in completing and publishing an exciting Master’s thesis titled “How Does How We Learn Influence What We Learn and From Whom We Learn: The Case of iGen, Twitter, BTS ARMY, and Learning with Technology.”


Yuliya enjoys travel, video games, learning about sustainable living, psychology, art, linguistics, technology, vegetarian cuisine, and the role of the Internet in learning.
