Biography

Dawn Spaar is Assistant Professor of General Education and Business Administration at Harrisburg University. She has been teaching for approximately 25 years to a diverse range of students including traditional and non-traditional undergraduates, graduate students, and adult learners through on-campus classrooms, virtual, and hybrid instructional formats.

Before moving to full-time teaching, she served in various administrative roles at dean and director levels working directly with part-time (adjunct) faculty, learners, and student service staff. She was involved (Board of Directors [chair] and/or active committee member) of the following national organizations: ACHE, CAEL, CAP and UCEA; and presented at numerous national conferences.

Teaching and Research Interest: business communication, introductory business, management, micro-economics, leadership, organizational behavior, psychology, and sociology. Interest and experience with course and new program development.
