Brian Hetsko Corporate Faculty (EAMS)

Brian Hetsko has over 20 years of aerospace and defense research and development experience in the areas of communications, signal processing, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.  He is currently the Director of Engineering at CAES Integrated Defense Systems in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Hetsko began his engineering career with the US Army, Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate specializing in electronic warfare, advanced RF detection and geolocation techniques, and counter-IED systems.  Brian then spent a few years with SRI International-Sarnoff in Systems Architecture and Product Management of video processing and force protection systems.  He then moved on to Textron Systems in Hunt Valley, MD working in all domains of Unmanned Systems as a Chief Engineer for ISR Programs including the Army’s OSRVT program.  Since late 2019, Brian has been with working in the area of flight safety, instrumentation, telemetry, and precision guidance. 

He has been an author and presenter at such industry conferences as Association of the US Army (AUSA), Association of Unmanned Vehicle Systems Integrators (AUVSI), Association of Old Crows (AOC), and International Telemetry Conference, (ITC) with multiple publications and one patent.  Mr. Hetsko is also a past departmental guest of Princeton University and adjunct professor of Computer Engineering at York College of Pennsylvania.  When not engaged in technical or academic pursuits, Brian spends time with his wife and two daughters and can often be found refereeing soccer or playing drums around town.
