Public Health Thank You Day is November 22, and Harrisburg University would like to acknowledge and thank all public health workers for their dedication to protecting the health of everyone and their communities.

Public Health Thank You Day is especially meaningful during the COVID-19 pandemic. Public health workers have put their communities first and worked tirelessly to keep us safe throughout this deadly pandemic.

Public health workers play a critical role in saving lives, and during the last century their efforts have increased the average life expectancy from 47 in 1900 to 79 in 2020, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
