Join your HU community on Sunday, August 30, from 3:00–6:00 PM for the university’s first-ever HU Convocation, an afternoon designed to kick off the year with energy, connection, and a whole lot of fun.
This is more than a welcome event. It’s an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together, celebrate being part of HU, and start the year with a shared experience that reminds us that we’re all part of the same community.

Whether you’re starting your first semester at HU or returning for another year, this is a chance to laugh, connect, and get energized for what’s ahead.

Keep the conversation going with Gab & Games, featuring music, games, and a taco bar. Grab some food, meet someone new, reconnect with friends, and settle into the new year together.
🎧 DJ Dance Party
We’re ending the afternoon with a DJ Dance Party. Come ready to move, hang out, and celebrate the start of a new year at HU.
🏫 Faculty: We Need You!
We’re looking for faculty volunteers from each school to serve as School Hosts during the event.
As a School Host, you’ll help welcome and connect members of your school, encourage participation, and help make sure students feel like they have a place in the celebration.
