Alex Khan – Harrisburg University Corporate Faculty Member

Harrisburg University Corporate Faculty Member Alex Khan has been named to the list of Scientific Advisors Shaping Quantum 2.0 For Industry by The Quantum Daily, a provider of news and data on the quantum technology market.  The listing identifies 126 top advisory experts, globally, in the emerging technology of quantum computing.  Khan has been teaching quantum computing courses at HU for the past 18 months at the graduate, undergraduate and high school levels and has working closely with individual students, at these levels, on research projects on quantum computers, which result in publications and even a high school science fair project.

HU Professor Terrill Frantz says of Khan, “Alex has been ‘instrumental’ in developing the quantum programs within the university; moreover, he has been simply ‘essential’ in forging HU’s leadership position in quantum computing technology education and research in the Central Pennsylvania region.  Over the past 18 months, beyond the traditional teaching, he has been nurturing partnerships with quantum industry leaders like Amazon, IBM, D-Wave, QuSecure, and IonQ, which provides HU students with direct access to industry experts and access to actual quantum computers.”

Khan is in the process of writing a book entitled, “Quantum Computing Experimentation with Amazon Braket” to be published by Packt in 2022. He obtained his Masters in Engineering from Kansas State University and an MBA in Health Sector Management from Duke University. He has a certificate in Quantum Computing from MIT.
