Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is launching the PASSHE Pathway Initiative to create pathways for students impacted by mergers or restructuring in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The program offers an additional $2,500 in scholarships per academic year for eligible students who transfer from a state school to Harrisburg University to complete a degree path disrupted by these changes.
“HU’s PASSHE Pathway Scholarship keeps a college education affordable and accessible, ensuring that they can continue their education with no interruptions,” says John W. Friend, Associate Vice President of Undergraduate Admissions at Harrisburg University.
The initiative includes a timely review of transfer credits and equivalencies, and a transfer counselor to help students through the process and stay on track at Harrisburg University. Students can transfer a maximum of 87 credits into an undergraduate degree.
Beginning with the Fall 2021 semester, transfer students coming from a PASSHE school will automatically receive an additional $2,500 in scholarship money on top of any merit scholarship—which typically range from $6,000 to $10,000–they are awarded.
