Dr. Nancy Mimm, Program Lead for HU’s Master of Science in Nursing program and Vice-Chair of the Faculty of the Whole, has again been asked to teach a graduate-level Social Determinants of Health course for National Institutes of Health (NIH) fellows and scientists.

This is a course Dr. Mimm developed for the NIH last year and taught previously. NIH received great feedback and requested she return and teach it again.

The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the social factors that impact individual and population health. The course presents students with theories and evidence supporting multiple underlying determinants of health in populations.
