In a recent Washington Examiner article, Harrisburg University Engineering and Energy Professor, Dr. Arvind Ravikumar, weighed in on the projected 4.5 percent loss of oil supply if investments in currently producing oil fields be prioritized over investments in new fields where drilling has yet to occur.

In the article, “Daily on Energy: Biden climate adviser McCarthy lays out case against business-backed carbon tax,” Ravikumar notes that annual loss of production of 4.5% is “a big deal” because the reduction is nearly three times faster than the rate at which production had grown during the last two decades.
