Moving students from the classroom to a career is a hallmark of a Harrisburg University of Science and Technology learning experience.   It’s one of the reasons why HU continues to report that over 95 percent of its graduates are employed, in the military, or in graduate school within six months of graduation.

The Career Services & Experiential Learning team recently held a career fair for its current students and alumni.  The event highlighted professional development, career preparedness, and job opportunities.  ABC-27 covered the fair. “I’m very excited for our students to come here. So this is one of the first in-person career fairs that we’ve had since the pandemic, so this is a very exciting time for us to be able to get our employers to directly connect with our students,” said Jeffrey Kayer, director of career services of Harrisburg University.

A partnership between the university and Pennsylvania CareerLink brought more than 25 employers to the fair, offering jobs near central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.

“This fair serves as a way to help educate our students and alumni to know that you can stay right here in central pa and get a great career step,” said Kayer.

The Office of Career Services & Experiential Learning Suite is in Strawberry Square, directly beside Harrisburg University’s entrance. We provide support to undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, staff, employers and regional organizations.
