Harrisburg, Pa. – Two students will join national innovation leader Dr. Jean R.S. Blair in addressing the Class of 2021 during Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s virtual commencement ceremony set for 6:30 p.m. on May 6.

Baltimore native Angel Brown, who will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Media, and Sayreville, N.J. resident Wenya Wen, who will receive a Master of Science degree in Project Management during the ceremony, have been invited to address the class of more than 1120 students.

“When I was presented with the opportunity to speak at commencement, I was extremely excited,” Brown said. “I feel honored to represent and give remarks on behalf of the bachelor students. This is an amazing opportunity that HU has given me, which I don’t take lightly. One of the main reasons I like HU is, they present their students with amazing hands-on experiences and opportunities that can lead to the launch of their careers.”

Wen also said she is honored to address the Class of 2021, which will include the University’s first three doctoral graduates.

“When I was asked to speak at the ceremony, I felt honored and grateful. I feel happy to be part of it,” she said. “I like the culture of Harrisburg University, the vision and the encouragement of the school, and last, but not least, the unconditional support of the faculty.”

Dr. Jean R.S. BlairEECS Distinguished Professor for Innovation and a Professor of Computer Science at the United States Military Academy, West Point, will be the featured speaker during the virtual event that can be viewed at https://commencement.harrisburgu.edu/.
