Harrisburg University’s Tech and Town week is a celebration of the energy pulsing throughout Pennsylvania’s capital city. But it also is a chance for the University to give back.

From 1-3 p.m. Friday, HU faculty and staff will volunteer and help the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank pack boxes of food for those less fortunate at the food bank’s packing center at 1530-B Bobali Drive in Harrisburg (located off of South 19th Street).

At 8 a.m. the next day, we invite you to join the Harrisburg University team and register for the Great Harrisburg Litter Cleanup.

The Great Harrisburg Litter Cleanup (GHLC) is an initiative of Tri County Community Action, Clean & Green Harrisburg, and Keep Harrisburg/Dauphin County Beautiful.

The goal of this event is to come together as a community to make Harrisburg a cleaner and safer place to live, work, and play. To register and for more information, visit this link.

Tech and Town Week kicked off Saturday with the annual HUE Invitational collegiate Esports Tournament. This week features four concerts from national recording artists including Cage the Elephant, Portugal. The Man, and Dawes, heralding the return of the live music we’ve missed so much and that has become an HU hallmark.

Other events include the fall Involvement Fair, HU’s Fall Island Picnic, and more.
