Harrisburg, Pa. – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology alumni will grow by more than 1,120 as the Class of 2021 graduates during a virtual commencement ceremony set for 6:30 p.m. on May 6, 2021.

The ceremony can be watched live online at  https://commencement.harrisburgu.edu/.

Two students will join national innovation leader Dr. Jean R.S. Blair in addressing the Class of 2021 during the ceremony. BlairEECS Distinguished Professor for Innovation and a Professor of Computer Science at the United States Military Academy, West Point, will be the featured speaker.

To help celebrate this year’s graduates, HU Alumnus Tyler Ross, owner of event production company, Ross Productions, will host a post-commencement virtual dance party starting at 8 p.m.

Baltimore native Angel Brown, who will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interactive Media, and Sayreville, N.J. resident Wenya Wen, who will receive a Master of Science degree in Project Management, have been invited to address this year’s class.

While the STEM fields historically have been filled by men, 52 percent of this year’s class receiving bachelor’s degrees from HU are women, 50 percent of the University’s master’s degree recipients are women, and 50 percent of HU’s Ph.D. students also are women.
