STORMWERX, the Advanced Manufacturing Research Laboratory at Harrisburg University, has announced their Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) between STORMWERX and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in support of Marine Corps Systems Command’s Advanced Manufacturing Operations Cell (AMOC). 

“This is a very exciting collaboration and we’re amped to get started,” says L.J. Holmes, Executive Director of Advanced Manufacturing, Research and Engineering at Harrisburg University. “We have the state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and abilities at Harrisburg University to help support these key organizations—the partnership is a perfect fit.”

STORMWERX is slated to work with Navy scientists and engineers to identify relevant use cases for advanced manufacturing and to implement solutions at various Marine Corps locations. The agreement will support executing the Secretary of the Navy, Commandant of the Marine Corps, and Chief of Naval Operations vision of integrating additive manufacturing into the greater Naval enterprise and to improve readiness of Marines and Sailors.
