The COVID-19 vaccine rollout is frustrating many Pennsylvanians, causing some to attempt to skip the line in hopes of getting their shots before people who should get theirs first.

HU Pharmaceutical Sciences Professor, Dr. Erik Hefti, weighed in on the matter in a recent ABC27 story.

“The only time I would ever advise skipping in line, so to speak, is if there are leftover vaccines that would otherwise go to waste,” Hefti said. “We don’t want to resort to things like crossing state or county lines to get access to vaccines that are really allotted for a different subset of individuals.”
