HARRISBURG, PA — Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s (HU) Career Services & Experiential Learning Office is excited to host Career Week (March 16–20, 2026), a week-long series of events designed to prepare students for success in their professional journeys.
Career Week gives students the opportunity to learn from industry experts, alumni, and faculty while building the skills, confidence, and connections that are critical for today’s competitive job market.

March 16 – STEM Employer Panel
2:45–3:45 PM, Room 1151 & Virtual
Come meet industry professionals, hear their career stories, and get real-world advice on breaking into the field. Employers will share what they look for in candidates, how to stand out, and what skills actually matter on the job.
March 17 – Financial Readiness for Life After College
12:00–1:00 PM, Virtual
Join the Financial Aid and Career Services & Experiential Learning teams to find out what happens to your student loans after graduation and how to prepare financially for life beyond college. Join us as we cover repayment basics, budgeting, and smart next steps.
March 17 – Interactive Career Game Session
3:15–4:15 PM, Room 1305
Join Career Services & Experiential Learning for an interactive career game session where we’ll put a professional twist on familiar games such as Taboo, Pictionary, and Jenga. These activities are designed to help you practice communication, teamwork, and career readiness skills in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
March 18 – Experiential Learning Panel
2:45–3:45 PM, Room 1151 & Virtual
Hear directly from current students and alumni as they share their experiences completing internships, research projects, and other experiential learning opportunities. Panelists will discuss how they secured their roles, the skills they developed, and how these experiences supported their academic and career goals. This session is a valuable opportunity to learn from real-world examples and gain insight into how experiential learning can enhance your own path.
March 19 – Career Fair Prep
12:00–1:30 PM, 12th Floor
Stop by this informal, come-and-go session to get last-minute support before the Career Fair. Faculty and staff will be available to help you practice your elevator pitch, answer questions, and review Career Services resources to make sure you feel confident and prepared. Whether you stay for five minutes or the whole time, this is a great opportunity to polish your approach before meeting employers.
March 19 – Student Career Fair
1:00–3:00 PM, 12th Floor
Meet with employers across STEM fields who are actively seeking students for internships, full-time roles, and future talent pipelines. This is your opportunity to introduce yourself, ask questions, and learn more about the skills and experiences organizations value. Whether you’re actively searching or just exploring options, the Career Fair is an important step in building your professional network and career readiness.
March 20 – LinkedIn Profile Sprint
12:00–2:00 PM, Career Services & Experiential Learning Suite (Strawberry Square) & Virtual
Bring your current LinkedIn profile and meet one-on-one with a Career Services team member to review what you’re already doing well and identify areas to strengthen. We’ll help you enhance your headline, summary, experience, and skills so your profile reflects your accomplishments and goals. This session is offered in a hybrid format, allowing you to participate either in-person or virtually for flexible, personalized support.
March 20 – Networking Event
4:00–6:00 PM, 222 Chestnut Street (2nd Floor)
The Career Services & Experiential Learning, Alumni Relations, and Student Experience teams are hosting an HU Networking Event! The event is open to all Harrisburg University students, staff, faculty, and alumni. This gathering provides an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, expand professional networks, and strengthen relationships across the HU community.
Throughout the Week – Virtual Resume Reviews
Throughout Career Week, students can request a virtual resume review by emailing CareerServices@HarrisburgU.edu. Career Services staff will provide personalized feedback to help students strengthen their resumes and highlight relevant skills and experiences.
