HARRISBURG, PA — Two members of the Harrisburg University of Science & Technology (HU) community have been named to the 7th annual Harrisburg Young Professionals (HYP) 20 in Their 20s list, which recognizes rising leaders who are making a meaningful impact across Central Pennsylvania.

Emily Lupi, Assistant Director of Career Services & Employer Relations, and Harasees Kaur ’25, a Project Management graduate student, are among the 20 honorees celebrated this year by HYP.

Emily has led transformative growth within HU’s Office of Career Services & Experiential Learning, expanding opportunities for students to connect with employers and increasing engagement in career readiness programming. She also teaches undergraduate courses at HU, and her professional involvement extends to organizations such as the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE), the Cradle to Career Alliance, and PA Caring for K-9’s

“I’m honored to be named one of Harrisburg Young Professionals’ 20 in Their 20s,” Emily said. “Harrisburg University has given me the opportunity to grow as a professional, empower others, and support students and alumni as they prepare for their future, while also building opportunities that strengthen our community. I’m grateful to be part of a university that values innovation, collaboration, and the impact that we can make together.”

Harasees is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Project Management at HU and will be graduating this year. She balances her graduate studies with her role as a Business Systems Analyst Intern at The Fidelis Group. Harasees has conducted research on Agile Risk Management in financial services and has earned a Certified Scrum Master credential. Outside of her academic and professional endeavors, Kaur dedicates time to community service by mentoring her peers, volunteering with Let’s Share a Meal, and contributing to health awareness and educational initiatives in India.

“Coming from India with big dreams, I’m truly proud to be recognized among Harrisburg Young Professionals’ 20 in Their 20s,” said Harasees. “This honor reflects not only my hard work and determination, but also the invaluable mentorship, guidance, and opportunities I’ve received at Harrisburg University. HU has been a true partner in my journey, helping me grow with confidence and purpose, and I’m excited for what lies ahead.”

The 20 in Their 20s honorees will be recognized at a special awards ceremony hosted by Harrisburg Young Professionals on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Hilton Harrisburg. Sponsored by Members 1st Federal Credit Union with support from community partners – including Hilton Harrisburg, Harrisburg University, the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC, and media partner The Burg – the evening will bring together business leaders, peers, and community supporters to honor the 20 young professionals shaping the region’s future.

Congratulations to Emily and Harasees for this well-deserved recognition, and for representing Harrisburg University with excellence both on campus and in the broader community.
