HARRISBURG, PA – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology has been ranked #16 among the 2025 Most Innovative Schools in the Regional Universities North category by US News & World Report. Now in its 40th year, the rankings evaluate nearly 1,500 national colleges and universities on up to 17 measures of academic quality and place an emphasis on social mobility and outcomes for graduating college students.

“From the start, our goal was to create a university that would be a beacon of opportunity and innovation for this region,” said Eric Darr, PhD, President of Harrisburg University. “Today, being named among the most innovative universities is not just a victory for our institution – it’s a victory for our entire community and Commonwealth. Personally, this recognition is the culmination of years of dreams and hard work. But let’s not forget that this is a legacy we are all building together. The future holds even more exceptional milestones for our university and its extended family. Each of the learners, leaders, and generous patrons who’ve shepherded this dream throughout the years have my deepest appreciation and respect.”
