HARRISBURG, PA On June 9, 2025, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) and the World Affairs Council of Harrisburg (WACH) will welcome a distinguished delegation from the European Union (EU) for a summit focused on transnational cooperation and diplomacy.

The event will take place at Harrisburg University, located at 326 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA 17101.

The meeting will bring together university and community leaders, students, EU officials, and public-sector partners for a series of high-level roundtable discussions. The delegation comprises members of the Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Committees from various European parliaments who are visiting Harrisburg and Washington, DC, as part of joint efforts under the United for Ukraine alliance. Their visit to Harrisburg is part of a broader mission to mobilize sustained international support for peace, sovereignty, and human dignity in response to Russia’s war of aggression.

Harrisburg University Interim President, David A. Schankweiler, noted: “The students on our campus represent more than 110 countries of origin. Hosting these talks reflects our university’s commitment to international collaboration in science, technology, and policy, and serves as a testament to the growing significance of Central Pennsylvania in shaping global conversations. We hope this summit shines a light on our region’s role as a connector between regional opportunity and global engagement, we are honored to welcome our EU guests to campus, and we are proud to join with the World Affairs Council to spark conversations that transcend borders.”
