Biography
Natasha Clarke, PT, DPT, OCS, is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. She teaches Movement Science I, a functional anatomy and biomechanics course, alongside musculoskeletal physical therapy. With over seven years of experience teaching anatomy and physiology across multiple health professions programs, Dr. Clarke brings a strong background in the foundational sciences that underpin clinical practice.
Dr. Clarke’s clinical background includes 10 years of practice in private outpatient orthopedics. She has extensive expertise in musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment and has served as both a clinical instructor and clinic director. As a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), she is deeply committed to mentorship, professional development, and patient-centered care.
She earned her bachelor’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Rutgers University. Dr. Clarke is currently pursuing a PhD in Medical and Health Professions Education at Old Dominion University, where her scholarship focuses on contemporary anatomy education, curriculum design, assessment, and evidence-informed pedagogy.
A central focus of her research is the evolving role of technology in anatomy and physical therapy education. She explores how digital tools, visualization platforms, virtual (VR) and augmented reality (AR), simulation-based resources, and synthetic cadaver technologies can enhance spatial understanding, learner engagement, and long-term knowledge retention, while remaining grounded in sound educational principles.
