A Harrisburg University of Science and Technology was recently honored at a professional conference for her research.
Dr. Sa Liu received an Outstanding Paper Award at the SITE 2022 Conference in San Diego for a paper she co-authored, “Tweeting about Teachers and COVID-19: An Emotion and Sentiment Analysis Approach.” She co-authored the paper with Jason Harron, Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology in the School of Instructional Technology and Innovation within Kennesaw State University’s Bagwell College of Education.
SITE 2022 is the 33rd annual conference of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education. It is society of Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education. This society represents individual teacher educators and affiliated organizations of teacher educators in all disciplines, who are interested in the creation and dissemination of knowledge about the use of information technology in teacher education and faculty/staff development. SITE is the premiere international conference in this field and annually attracts more than 1,300 leaders in the field from over 60 countries.
Dr. Liu is Assistant Professor of Interactive Technologies in the Interactive Media Program (IMED). Dr. Liu teaches Information Design and Data Visualization, Unreal and Unity Game Engines, Front-end Web Design and Development, and Mobile Experience Design and Development at HU. Her research interests include educational uses of interactive media, serious games, learning analytics and interactive media design and development.
