Harrisburg University celebrated “Subs Day” on August 11th  to recognize  its construction partner, Whiting-Turner, and about 200 subcontractors representing over 20 different firms working on the new Science Education Center at 3rd and Chestnut.

President Eric Darr and members of the Harrisburg University leadership team provided a subs lunch from a Harrisburg restaurant and celebrated the dedication and contribution to these individuals as they are in the home stretch of the $100 million-dollar mixed-use educational tower.

The project team from Whiting-Turner has established a meaningful, safe culture on this project and hundreds of talented contractors have managed through a global pandemic, and unprecedented material and supply challenges to forge forward and expand HU’s educational capabilities.
