Harrisburg University eBusiness and Cybersecurity Professor Dr. Terrill Frantz joined FOX43 News to discuss recent stock market volatility triggered by several issues, including the COVID-19 pandemic.

Monday morning, the Dow Jones plummeted more than 1,000 points. The same day, it made a huge recovery and ended the day on an upswing.

“There’s a lot of concern about the federal reserve meeting going on this week,” Frantz said. “There’s concerns about inflation, and you know, you can’t leave out the geopolitical issues coming up really, really fast – and let’s not even forget about COVID-19.”

Even though the Dow made a huge recovery, the unpredictability of the market right now has left many investors feeling squeamish, he said.

“In my view, many people are starting to get nervous about that, and they’re starting to reduce their risk quite a bit,” said Frantz.
