Harrisburg University’s Offices of Career Services and Experiential Learning will host the University’s annual Spring Career Week series of events Feb. 14–18, 2022.

Each of the events will highlight professional development, career preparedness, job opportunities and internship assistance. All employer partners participating in panel events will highlight opportunities within their organizations and will network with attendees.

Spring Career Week events include:

  • Job and Internship Bootcamp Employer – Panel Monday, Feb 14th from 12:00-1:00 PM: Regional employers will give our students and alumni key tips on how to stand out at a career fair or other types of networking events.
  • Innovative Interns – A Student’s Perspective. Wednesday, Feb 16th from 11:00 Am t0 12:00 PM: Recent HU interns will share what their experiences were like as an intern and advice they can offer the students in attendance
  • There is More to a Salary! Evaluating a Total Compensation Package – Thursday, Feb 17th from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Regional employers will describe the important details in a job offer and a compensation package beyond the salary (retirement, healthcare, spending accounts etc)
  • Understanding Your Student Loans – Thursday, Feb 17th from 2:00 PM -3:00 PM: A member of HU’s financial aid team will answer students questions about loan repayment.

Additionally, the Offices of Career Services and Experiential Learn are alerting students to the upcoming Central Pennsylvania Employment Consortium (CPEC) will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 15at the Penn Harris Hotel (formerly Camp Hill Radisson). The offices are also alerting people to other career fairs in the area that will be hosted virtually.
