Harrisburg University of Science and Technology’s varsity esports team, The STORM, is expanding its program with a team competing in collegiate Rocket League beginning in the Fall of 2022.

Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix.   Players use rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent’s goal and score points over the course of a match.

The HU STORM will add new members to its team, which offers full-tuition scholarships. Additionally, Harrisburg University will expand its annual HUE Invitational to include the Rocket League competition.   HUE Invitational is the largest collegiate esports invitational in North America.

The HU STORM has won national collegiate championships in 2019, 2020, and 2022. More on the HU Storm is found online at https://www.harrisburgu.edu/hu-experience/esports/
