Harrisburg University of Science and Technology will offer its Master of Science in Project Management in-person for the Spring 2022 semester for Direct Students (meaning they are not currently in the country). This will allow students overseas to obtain an I-20 from Harrisburg University (HU) to begin the VISA process. These students will take classes in a hybrid format with weekly online classes and appearing on campus one Saturday per month. For students travelling to the United States, make sure to view the Requirements for Air Travelers to the U.S. and International Travel Requirements and Recommendations as these will change beginning November 8, 2021.
Additionally, the University is planning to offer both Project Management and Computer Science in-person for Direct Students for the Late Spring 2022 semester.
All other graduate and doctoral programs at the University will continue to operate in the virtual format.
Students in the U.S. on an F-1 visa or graduate students studying at HU will continue in the virtual format. Students currently in the U.S. may not attend in-person classes. Students in the virtual format will maintain their visa status and be allowed to remain in the US to study and work provided they continue to attend and fully participate in classes virtually to include attending the Saturday on-campus sessions virtually versus in person. If these guidelines should change or should there be any further COVID-19 announcements, HU will post updates here: Link.
Please note that HU’s ability to offer fully virtual delivery to international students may change in the future if the federal government requirements change. Any changes to the temporary exemption will be immediately announced by HU. Please continue to monitor HU’s website dedicated to COVID-19 developments and its impact on university operations here: Link.
Should you have any questions regarding your visa status, please review the information available at ISO Help and generate a new support request if you have specific questions.
Any HU student who is experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, or academic stress as a result of this issue should contact the BHS Student Assistance Program. You can login via the app/web at MyBHS Portal or call 800-327-2251. The username is HarrisburgU. Outreach to BHS is confidential, and each student is assigned a master’s level clinician as a care coordinator.
HU has contracted with BHS to provide quality, in-the-moment support. HU’s Counseling Center will also update their SharePoint site with information and resources on a wide array of mental health topics at the Counseling Center.
