Harrisburg University of Science and Technology proudly supports the Harrisburg Bureau of Police’s 3rd Annual National Night Out event that will take place from 5-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the Camp Curtin Academy football field at 2900 N Sixth St. in Harrisburg.
The University has donated 2,000 hot dogs, 3,000 hamburgers, and buns to the event.
National Night Out is an annual event where communities across the country connect with law enforcement. The focus of National Night Out is to get neighborhoods actively involved in preventing crime in their community. National Night Out is free and open to the public. This is a great opportunity to meet police officers, fire fighters, other emergency personnel, and over 50 community partners – in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Enjoy free Rita’s Italian Ice, Farm Show milkshakes, food, drinks, games, giant inflatables, giveaways and much more. This year’s event will feature a live concert by Harrisburg’s own, “The Singer’s Lounge,” music by DJ Godfather Cornell Corley, a special performance by the Harrisburg High School Cheerleaders, and the landing and display of a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter.
Harrisburg’s National Night Out event will feature a FULL-SCALE FIREWORKS display sponsored by First National Bank of PA (FNB Bank) for the first time this year. If you are part of a business, nonprofit organization, church, or any other group within the region and would like to join us, please complete the Vendor Registration Form, here, by July 30th, 2021.
