NBC Nightly News recently came to Harrisburg University of Science and Technology to film an extraordinary story about one of the companies within HU’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE).

Arcana Recovery, led by Sharina Johnson, a combat veteran, is an AI-driven drug and alcohol recovery support app that helps individuals achieve long-term sobriety after her battle with substance abuse. According to the National Institutes of Health, more than one in 10 veterans who seek care at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs meet the criteria for being diagnosed with substance abuse disorder.

Sharina has been working with Jay Jayamohan, who leads the CIE, on her entrepreneurial journey.  Watch the NBC story here: https://www.nbcnews.com/now/video/veteran-develops-app-to-help-stop-relapse-of-substance-abuse-145821765682
