HARRISBURG, PA – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) continues to strengthen its ties with Clair Global, a leading sound production and touring support company based in Lititz, PA. The partnership has yielded a generous donation from Clair that supports digital content creation at HU and sets up multiple learning pathways for long-term success.

A contribution from Clair Global, a world-famous name in entertainment and integrated technologies, has equipped the studio with industry-standard gear, ensuring students have access to the best tools for their creative endeavors. Through this generous endowment, HU has received equipment that includes a Behringer X32 digital mixing console with preamp, headphones, and accessories to build and equip the producer station at HU.

Harrisburg University’s Senior Systems Engineer, Keith Thomas, and Charles Palmer, Program Lead for Interactive Media and Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Entertainment and Learning Technologies, spearheaded the design of the physical studio space. Combining their expertise has yielded a well-appointed environment that is not only functional but also inspirational.

“It’s more than just a studio; it’s a place where students can bring their ideas to life and explore the limitless possibilities of audio production,” Professor Palmer said.

Frank Schofield, Director of Music and Media Services at Harrisburg University, joined Professor Palmer in celebrating this milestone. “At HU, we’re extremely proud to have such a strong partnership with Clair. We couldn’t be more excited and grateful about this gift. Between student projects, HU-branded podcasts, and the HU Presents Summer Series at Riverfront Park in Harrisburg, there’s a lot of great news to share with the community and plenty of exciting content coming soon.”

The HU Presents Summer Series at Riverfront Park commences in June with a performance by Fleet Foxes and continues in July with Black Pumas. Tickets for both shows are available at https://concertseries.harrisburgu.edu/summer-series/.

Clair Global has been an innovator in the live-event industry since 1996. In 2014, the company was the primary developer behind Rock Lititz, a unique production community that supports collaboration and creativity within the live-event industry. Resources include design, engineering, and manufacturing, with additional support for rehearsals, pyrotechnics, rehearsal space, mental-health counseling, and beyond.

In 2023, WHTM-TV / abc27 aired the first episode in the “Emerging Artists Series,” a run of documentaries co-produced by HU and Rock Lititz. The first installment showcased the Birmingham-based music group Certainly So, while exploring what it takes for a band to launch its first concert. Additional episodes are anticipated between 2024 and 2025.

In 2021, Clair Global partnered with Harrisburg University to create an HU certificate program in audio production and system integration. Anticipating even more fruitful collaborations in the future, Harrisburg University is grateful for Clair’s ongoing material and cultural support of its students and their future aspirations in the interactive media and entertainment technology fields.
