Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, along with Hussian College, will host a ribbon cutting celebration at the new, expanded location the schools share in downtown Philadelphia at 11 a.m. Dec. 8.

The Board of Trustees from both schools, along with HU President Dr. Eric Darr and Hussian College President Jeremiah Staropoli, will join to celebrate the expansion into 38,000 square feet of completely renovated space at 1500 Spring Garden Street.

The ribbon cutting symbolizes HU’s commitment to offering an unrivaled Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education in Philadelphia.

“The expansion provides students with an opportunity in science and technology education that didn’t exist in Philadelphia,” Dr. Eric Darr said. “The new space allows the delivery of all four years of our programs. It completely changes what we do in Philadelphia.”

HU now offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Interactive Media, Management, and eBusiness – with concentrations in digital marketing and business analytics; Computer and Information Sciences and Cybersecurity – at its Philadelphia location. The University also has an eye on offering new master’s degree programs in Philadelphia.
