Harrisburg University’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) will be accepting applications from students for its second launch U Startup Challenge Competition through Nov. 1.

What started as an experiment involving a few HU students has grown into a full-fledged “Shark Tank”-style competition with the help of an incredible network from across the U.S. Cred-Q, an alternative credit scoring platform founded by HU graduate student Kushagra Mishra, won first place and a prize of $2,500 during the first launch U competition held during the spring.

Participating high school and college students will have the opportunity to bring their business idea to life with the help of Harrisburg University faculty, staff, and mentors. Students will learn the basics of entrepreneurship, refine their ideas, and pitch them at a capstone competition showcase set for Jan. 21, 2021. Three winners will be selected by a formal judging committee and awarded prizes. One grand prize winner will be selected to incubate his or her business idea through the Harrisburg University innovation lab.

This is the perfect opportunity for students to present their startup ideas!
