HARRISBURG, Pa. – A recently updated articulation agreement between HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, and Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) allows graduates of HACC’s Math/Computer Science Program to transfer into HU’s Computer and Information Sciences Bachelor of Science Degree Program.

HACC math/computer science students who graduate with an associate degree will be accepted into HU’s CIS program as juniors via the updated agreement.

“This agreement is the result of a continued successful partnership between HACC and Harrisburg University,” said Harrisburg University President, Dr. Eric Darr. “Our teams are dedicated to working together to offer programs that meet workforce needs.”

On Dec. 1, 2020, HACC and HU amended an existing dual admissions and core-to-core agreement to provide this opportunity to students.

“Because of this updated agreement, HACC graduates will be able to transfer seamlessly to HU to complete a bachelor’s degree in computer information and sciences. This agreement provides a pathway for our graduates to continue their education in an in-demand career. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in computer and information technology occupations is projected to grow 11% over the next decade, much faster than the average for all occupations,” John J. “Ski” Sygielski, MBA, Ed.D., HACC president and CEO, said.

Other articulation agreements between the two schools include:

  • HACC’s RN/Associate Degree Program to HU’s RN-to-BSN Program
  • HACC’s Computer Information Security Program to HU’s Cybersecurity Information and Management Bachelor’s Degree Program
