After multiple discussions among leaders of the university community, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology (HU) has decided that programs for all currently enrolled graduate students will be delivered in virtual manner for the 2022 Spring (January 8, 2022 – April 28, 2022) and Late Spring (March 12, 2022 – June 17, 2022) semesters.

For Students in the U.S. Currently Enrolled:

No face-to-face sessions will be required for graduate students currently in the U.S. on an F-1 visa.

Federal guidelines for international students currently studying in the US continue to allow for greater flexibility in how programs are delivered and managed. Under the continuing but temporary federal guidelines, students still need to be monitored (e.g., attendance taken and verified), show academic progress (through their work), and maintain their full-time course load. International students studying at HU will maintain their visa status and be allowed to remain in the US to study and work as long as the students continue to attend and fully participate in classes online to include attending Executive Sessions online versus in person. Students currently in the U.S. may not attend in-person classes.

For Students Outside the U.S. Seeking to Enroll:

The University is offering its Master of Science in Project Management in-person for the Spring 2022 semester for Direct Students (meaning students who are not currently in the country). Additionally, HU is planning to offer both Project Management and Computer Science in-person for Direct Students for the Late Spring 2022 semester. This will allow students overseas to obtain an I-20 from HU to begin the VISA process. Students traveling to the United States should view the Requirements for Air Travelers to the U.S. and International Travel Requirements and Recommendations as these will change beginning November 8, 2021.

For All International Students:

Students with questions regarding visa status are encouraged to review the information available and generate a new support request at ISO Help for specific questions.
