PHILADELPHIA – Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is offering a summer camp at its Philadelphia location guaranteed to thrill any high school CSI fanatic and aspiring criminal investigator.

HU’s Forensic Investigation Camp, set for July 19-22, will introduce students in grades 9-12 to crime scene investigation via hands-on instruction, guest speakers, experiential learning, and applying theories and techniques used in forensic investigation.

Forensic science is crucial in any criminal investigation, as it allows authorities to positively identify crime suspects and determine exactly when and how crimes occur.

Students enrolled in HU’s Forensic Investigation Camp will learn how to correctly identify, document, and preserve physical evidence. Theory and methods will include, but are not limited to, fingerprint processing and identification, impression evidence recovery and comparison, bloodstain pattern analysis, and anthropology.

For more information and to register for the Forensic Investigation Camp at HU’s location at 486 N. 16th St., directly across the street from the Community College of Philadelphia, in downtown Philadelphia, visit https://enrichment.harrisburgu.edu/.
