Strawberry Square Development Corporation announced today that the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, powered by Harrisburg University of Science and Technology will open a new location in the coming months in the former 4,000 s.f. The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) works to empower innovators to build successful ventures, including Harrisburg University students and faculty, as well as entrepreneurs in the community. In addition, CIE offers opportunities for partners to invest in important scientific discoveries, technological innovations and academic research.

Jay Jayamohan, the Center’s Director, explained the mission of the CIE: “The CIE is a multi-pronged hub that aligns entrepreneurial activities across the campus and business disciplines that features active learning laboratories, technological suites, and a makerspace.”

“We’re excited to welcome the CIE to a physical location here in Strawberry Square,” noted Brad Jones, President and CEO of Harristown, the owner of Strawberry Square. “Harrisburg University has been an incredible driver for economic development in the downtown and this new lease for CIE is another fantastic example of their positive impact here in downtown Harrisburg.”
