When it comes to making college affordable and accessible to students, a new report places Harrisburg University of Science and Technology at #1 in the nation.

The report, “Private Colleges Where Students Win the Most Scholarship Money,” by StudentLoans.Net shows that Harrisburg University awards students more scholarship aid than students attending any other private school in the U.S. Harrisburg University beat out more than 700 schools to earn the ranking.

“This recognition is a pretty big deal given the current student loan debt climate in America. Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college and these scholarships are vital to making the dream of a degree a reality,” says Dr. Eric Darr, president of Harrisburg University.

“We are committed to providing a strong college education at a reasonable cost. That’s why every first-year or transfer student is automatically considered for a scholarship of between $6,000 and $20,000. And 99 percent of our full-time undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid.”

Additionally, the University has not raised its tuition in five years. Get more information about HU’s scholarship program, or read the report.
