Dr. Rachel Fogle, who heads the Harrisburg University’s hydroponics and aquaponics programs, reports that approximately 100 heads of lettuce were donated on March 24th to Hanna’s Pantry in Susquehanna Township thanks to HU’s hydroponic production system at Steelton-Highspire Jr./Senior High School.

In November, the GIANT Company donated $20,000 to fund the purchase of equipment needed to finish greenhouse renovations, which allows more than 1,100 leafy greens (lettuce, spinach, herbs, etc.) to be growing at any given time at the greenhouse.
