Apple has issued an emergency software update after researchers at the University of Toronto discovered a security flaw that would allow hackers to access iPhones and other apple devices.

In an interview with FOX43 news, Harrisburg University eBusiness and Cybersecurity Professor Dr. Terrill Frantz said the spyware tool that makes apple devices vulnerable gives hackers “the capability for the operator of the software to infect your device, collect data from your device and transmit it to them.”

Most owners of apple devices need not worry, however, Frantz added, saying the best thing to do is update your device.
