We are thrilled to announce that Emily McGurl, a Harrisburg University of Science and Technology Admissions team member, has been awarded the James McKeever Promising Professional Award by the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC). This award recognizes outstanding contributions from secondary or postsecondary members in the early stages of their careers, and we are proud that Emily has been honored with this distinction.

As a PACAC member, Emily has been actively involved in various committees, including the PACAC Conference Planning Committee, the PACAC August Admission Workshop, and PACAC Summer Institute. She has demonstrated her commitment to the admission profession by tirelessly working to improve the services offered to students and families.

As Admissions Counselor for Northeastern Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley, Emily has been an instrumental part of our team, helping to connect students with the resources they need to succeed. Her dedication and passion for her work are truly inspiring, and we are privileged to have her as a member of our organization.

The James McKeever Promising Professional Award is a well-deserved recognition of Emily’s outstanding contributions to the admission profession. We are excited to see her receive this honor at the PACAC Conference in June at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, and we wish her continued success in her career. Congratulations, Emily!
