Schankweiler played a key role in the establishment of Harrisburg University in 2001. As a founding Harrisburg University Board Member, Mr. Schankweiler brought a keen intelligence and entrepreneurial spirit to the daunting challenge of building the first new, independent, STEM-focused university in Pennsylvania in more than a century.

“As we look to the future, we recognize that higher education is navigating an unprecedented landscape filled with challenges – and, alongside these, exciting opportunities. We’re ready to meet these with purpose and innovation. Since our founding, we’ve been driven by a commitment to excellence and a profound dedication to our students. These values will continue to guide us as we shape what lies ahead.”

In the coming weeks, Mr. Schankweiler will engage with a broad range of HU constituencies, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, business partners, and donors. These conversations will create meaningful opportunities for HU community members to share their insights as the University reaffirms its core values and commits to a shared vision that will drive continued growth and impact.
