Matthew Rissler is part-time corporate faculty for the Advanced Manufacturing program. Matthew uses his experience to teach courses in product development, 3D modeling (SolidWorks and Creo), and virtual simulations of everything from small motors to entire digital factories. Matthew manages the ADMA cloud computing services in Microsoft Azure to create virtual machines (VMs) for students in the program.
Matthew is a co-leader for the XR taskforce which is developing virtual reality (VR) classes and resources for Harrisburg University. Current VR classes utilize Engage: Virtual Communications Made Real for full interactive classroom-like experiences, with RecRoom utilized for fun group activities.
Matthew’s related experiences include, developing a method of outer-space construction which is currently patent pending; leading a team in the electronic design, circuit soldering, and assembling of a 300 HP pulsed DC electric motor; and smaller projects with Arc welding and cradle-to-grave work with non-metallic materials. Matthew is a certified SolidWorks Associate and holds an undergrad degree in Nanobiotechnology. He is currently enrolled in the master’s Analytics program at HU and works full time as a statistical data analyst for Deloitte.
