HARRISBURG, PA — The Harrisburg University of Science & Technology (HU) Board of Trustees has approved updated undergraduate base tuition rates, effective for the 2026–2027 academic year. This adjustment applies only to undergraduate tuition; graduate tuition rates will remain unchanged.

Effective Fall 2026:

  • Part-time undergraduate tuition (1–11 credit hours): Will increase from $1,030 to $1,050 per credit hour.
  • Full-time undergraduate tuition (12–17 credit hours per semester): Will increase from $12,300 to $12,755 per semester.
  • University Services Fee: A $250 fee per semester will continue to apply each Fall and Spring ($500 annually), billed with tuition.

Together, the new full-time undergraduate base cost will total $13,005 per semester.

This adjustment reflects the rising operational costs associated with delivering the high-quality academic experience, personalized support, and student services that define Harrisburg University. Inflation, increased costs of goods and services, and broader economic conditions have all contributed to the need for this change.

At the same time, changes to the formulas used by certain financial aid and grant programs have affected award amounts for some students. In setting this year’s tuition rates, the University carefully weighed those changes and intentionally limited the increase to help minimize the overall financial impact on students. As a result, many students may experience little or no change in their net cost of attendance, and some may even realize a more favorable financial aid outcome than if tuition had remained unchanged.

Even with this increase, Harrisburg University remains among the most affordable private universities in the region, offering exceptional academic programs with strong career outcomes. Our commitment to affordability remains steadfast, and we will continue to provide generous financial aid and institutional support to help students manage their educational investment.
