Tonya Miller PT, DPT Ph.D. is the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Lead at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. In this role, Tonya coordinates program curriculum, accreditation, and student success. Her professional interest consists of Equitable Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Leadership, and Clinical Professional Development. Tonya presents on state and national levels on a variety of healthcare leadership topics and issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion with a focus on issues related to the LGBTQIA+ communities bringing her own lived experience and healthcare leadership background into the discussion.
Tonya believes in community engagement and is an active community and professional organization volunteer. She serves on both local and national level boards including the American Physical Therapy Association’s PT Proud Committee, Cumberland & Perry County Domestic Violence Shelter, Cumberland County Commission for Women, and PA Vent Camp, a camp for ventilator-dependent children, in which she is the Executive Director.
