Biography

Dr. Ella Ponsford-Gullacci holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology (IT) with a specialization in IT Project Management from Capella University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Economics, specializing in Business and Information Technology, an Advanced Master’s Certificate in Project Management, and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Empire State University and its School for Graduate Studies. Dr. Ponsford-Gullacci received PMI’s Project Management Professional certification in 2009.

With over 30 years of experience in Information Technology and Project Management, Dr. Ponsford-Gullacci has managed digital transformation projects and information systems design, development, and implementation projects. She has also provided advisory services to clients on projects to review project management maturity and continuous improvement in the enterprise.

Dr. Ponsford-Gullacci’s research interests IT project management competencies, AI project management, enterprise architecture, and IT governance.

A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Dr. Ponsford-Gullacci actively contributes to the field as a member of the STEM Up network. She resides in Harrisburg, PA, with her family.
