Duane oversees the University’s Business Office including general ledger accounting, accounts payable, student accounts, the University’s operating and capital budgets and federal and state grant requirements. Duane maintains the working relationships with the University’s Bond Trustees, the Commonwealth’s Revitalization Assistance Capital Program, and all banking relationships. He is a member of the Steering Committee for the University’s accreditation process. Prior to joining the University in 2006, Duane spent nearly 15 years in public accounting and consulting. He also served as the full-time Interim Director of Budget and Finance at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where his duties included managing all financial aspects of the University, including developing and maintaining internal controls and external financial reporting.
A 1991 graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Duane earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 1994. Throughout his CPA career, Duane served clients is various industries including higher education, not-for-profit organizations, governmental agencies, manufacturers, and financial institutions. Duane spent nearly three years as Senior Audit Manager for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
